Open presentations for the purpose of sharing knowledge, critical views, and opinions about the creative process in the fields of experimental and electronic music, electro-acoustic music, sound art, and in general, audio and video processing in real time.

Programme

Oscar Tesón will present vjspain.com, an open forum he created and manages for exchanging information about veejays. He will also present his work with visuals and give a brief explanation of Modul8 and Edirol V4.

Ricard Marxer Piñón is a telecommunication engineer and digital artist. He works in the field of generative art and information visualization.

Olaf Ladousse will make use of the proliferation of electronic sounds made by cheap toys that are “Made in China”. Using “circuit bending” –an open-heart operation on electronic circuits- he tries out accidental connections until he manages to alter the sound. He substitutes fixed resistances for other variables (measuring power). Then he switches the packaging for whatever he happens to have at hand.
Some people use a bucket, a broom and a wire to build a contrabass. Olaf uses a toy, a tin and some batteries to build a Doorag, named as a tribute to Arizona, the mythical duo who were his inspiration.

Alberto García and Julio Obelleiro. You don’t like your nose? Change it! Are you good-looking but wish you were ugly? It’s not normal but we’ve got the solution. Mix yourself up with Caratrón Mixer, software for mixing your face with the faces of those around you, in real time and in motion. In addition, Alberto and Julio will present the installation called “Linterna Mágica” (The Magic Torch), developed last May during the Interactivos? Workshop and shown recently at Ars Electronica 06 and at the 10YearsAfter_v4.0_OuterSpace Festival in Korea.
