Abstract:
This paper proposal is part of an ongoing research project about the work of scultor, painter and writer Alberto Giacometti. Going beyond the obvious references of this author -and his work's perceptive problems- it tries to think about the crisis of the artistic object in Modernity in a close relationship with the break or the problematic of certain visual assumptions such as the phenomenological, that have been proved as insufficient. Considering this crisis -after the simbolic inflection of 1945- leads to think about the loss of thickness of a world whose signs can't be clearly interpreted any longer.
