Calling America is a people's journalism project that explores, through a series of programs, the possibilities of new communications technologies in the practice of participatory journalism and documentary.

Calling America is currently experimenting with alternatives to the typical broadcast model commonly adopted by bloggers and podcasters by using moblogging technologies as a vehicle for networked multi-authored journalistic explorations.
