Medialab Prado

The Colaboratorio LPCI laboratory of multidisciplinary collaborative projects is an educational innovation project that belongs to the Vicerrectorado de Docencia y convergencia Europea. the goal is to propose a model that adapts to the context of University of Salamanca new teaching, research and knowledge management methods that are currently being developed in places like Medialab-Prado. This first experience has proved that this model is extremely useful for encouraging self-teaching, team work, and creation of new researchers.

Projects presented in this session are the result of the workshops that took place from March to June 2009, dedicated to develop proposals selected through an open call. To see a more detailed description of the projects, you can download the final report.

The Vicerrectorado de Docencia y convergencia Europea is directed by Gabriel Perezzan, teacher of the Fine Arts Faculty, with the collaboration of Roberto Therón, teacher of Computing and Automatics of the Science Faculty. 

Projects to be presented:

• Search for new techniques of multi-variable data visualization for the statistics field (Búsqueda de nuevas técnicas de visualización de datos multivariantes para el ámbito estadístico). Proyecto dirigido por Carmelo A. Ávila Zarza (Profesor de Estadística Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias y Ambientales)

• Imaginarium: Image gallery in bioscience (Imaginarium: Galería de imágenes en biociencias). Proyecto dirigido por: José Manuel Fernández Ábalos (Profesor Titular de Microbiología. Departamento de Microbiología y Genética. Campus Miguel de Unamuno)

• Rainwater pulse. Proyecto, dirigido por Laura García Calvo

• Culture in Mosaic (Cultura en Mosaico). Proyecto, dirigido por Juan Francisco García Navarro (doctorado en Informática)

• Surronding. Proyecto dirigido por Julián Pacomío, estudiante de Bellas Artes)

• E-Learning transversal (proyecto fusionado con el proyecto Matemáticas para todos). Proyecto dirigido por: Dolores Pereira Gómez (Prof. Depto. Geología, Petrología y Geoquímica de la Facultad de Ciencias) + Araceli Queiruga Dios (Prof. Matemática aplicada ETS, Ingeniería Industrial de Béjar)

• Visualization of dense nuclear plasmas in 3D. Proyecto dirigido por Mª Ángeles Pérez García (profesora perteneciente al Departamento de Física Fundamental & IUFFYM)

• MOIRA NET WORK. Proyecto dirigido por Rodrígo Santamaría Vicente (Doctorando del Departamento de Informática y Automática de la Facultad de Ciencias)
