Place: Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Santa Isabel, 52. 28012 Madrid)
Included in the Corriente Continua (Direct Current) concert series organized by MNCARS (Reina Sofía National Art Centre Museum) and part of the AVLAB 1.0 international workshop-seminar activities, Francisco López’s work immerses us in virtual worlds of sounds gathered from all over the world, transformed during years of studio production. Free admission until full.

Internationally renowned as one of the most outstanding figures in the field of experimental music and sound art, Francisco López has worked in creation and field recordings for 25 years, developing an impressive highly personal, iconoclastic musical universe based on deep listening to the world around us.
Francisco López’s sound performances are anything but a clichéd musical concert. They are a sound immersion experience, in darkness with a multi-channel system. The audience's eyes are covered to sharpen the sense of hearing. Virtual worlds of sound have been created from myriad original sources gathered all over the world—the forests, deserts, factories, and buildings of the seven continents—transformed over years of studio production thanks to the talent and ability of a unique artist.
