DrupalMad March 2010: Translations and languages in Drupal

Monthly meeting of DrupalMad, a community of Drupal developers in Madrid. Drupal is a free software package that allows an individual or a community of users to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of content on a website. This session will be focused on translations and languages in Drupal, by Jorge López-Lago (aka kurkuma) of Metadrop.

DrupalMad represents a Drupal developers and users community in Madrid, for both professionals and amateurs. Its goal is to foster and improve Drupal in Madrid and Spain through diffusion and developing activities.

Its first activity is to organize monthly meetings to dynamize the community and foster the use, knowledge and improvements of Drupal.

Unless otherwise indicated, the schedule for these meetins is as follows: from 6 pm to 8 pm the second Tuesday of every month.

About this session:
  • Multi-language sites: introduction to multi-language in Drupal. What you must know and install to create a site in various languages.
  • Translating Drupal: how to translate and collaborate with core and module's translations.
  • Detecting typos in the translations of Drupal with the participation of everyone. Whoever finds the best typo will have beers for free after the meeting.
