The digital hangover leaves a mark. Sound work creation and distribution systems lead us to question the traditional, historically problematic, system designed and used for decades to carry out those tasks. New structures, methods, techniques and forms arise, offering infinite possibilities for sound creation. Editing is a process comprising various links (fragmentations, adaptations, quotes, reinterpretations, plagiarism, versions…), which are understood as productive interruptions given that, although they ensure transmission to a certain extent, they inevitably alter what is transmitted. In the sound context, editing takes the form of a work methodology enabling one to use any kind of audio material. The aim will be to look for effective strategies and tools in the resignification of sound resources based on a problem-solving theoretical-practical reflection on the concept of editing.
