Visualizar'11: Open Data Experiences

José Luis de Vicente and David Cabo, vice-president of Pro Bono Publico, propose a reflection around data opening initiatives within the framework of Visualizar'11: Understanding Infrastructures event. The goal is to present a general overview, as well as perspectives and posibilities thanks to the free access of information generated by public institutions, citizen and business organizations. An approach to how to reuse public data in cultural, social and business projects, following the current trend of opening and new posibilities of managing and visualizing big information databases.
Before the lecture a presentation of seleted projects for Visualizar'11: Understanding Infrastructures (June 14 to July 1, 2011) will take place.

Visualizar'11: Understanding Infrastructures is a collaboration between Medialab-Prado and EOI, aiming to explain and apply data visualization in relation with insfrastructures through a series of lectures and a project development workshop.
