Place: Salas Nave Alameda y Auditorio
Action of artistic telepresence will be held between three centers of Arts and New Technologies: Medialab-Prado (Madrid), Arteleku (Donostia) and Matrabal (Montreal), that will result in a collective and teleshared work between the artists located in the centers and will allow the interaction of the audience.
It is a multidisciplinary work, developed in the context of an interactive installation, that proposes a telematic trip through cyberspace, with sensored and robotic elements, and the creation of visuals, sounds, music and performance.
Includes a presentation (18:00h at the Auditorium) and a performance (19:00h at Alameda space).
The facility setup installed in Medialab will be triggered by the act of a performance which will be "manned" by the audience (those present will contribute to the speed of the boat trip) and "tele-directed" by remote nodes in Arteleku and Matrabal.
This time, we will pay special attention to the content and the dramaturgy, which we call "vertical". The purpose of this work is to lay the foundations for a participatory, immersive and interactive telepresence on three levels.
This new experience will be the third and final phase of Huesped, an INTACT Project's initiative, an innovation project in the arts and telecommunications field that counts on the contribution of artists in Europe (Spain and France), Northamerica (Canada) and the recently created group of work for artistic telepresence at MediaLab Prado.
INTACT (Interfaz para la acción telecompartida – Interface for teleshared action) is a cyber culture project on the crossroads of art and the new technologies. It is a proposal directed by Sara Malinarich and Manuel Terán.
INTACT is dedicated to the development of teleshared action and to the formation of collaborative networks amongst spaces and artists of all disciplines. The principal objectives of INTACT network are: the collaborative creation of networking systems, the production of collective thinking and the development of free technology.
The goal of a teleshared action is to produce a collaborative work amongst two or more users with telematic tools. Diverse analog or digital artistic expressions are taken from these systems and put back into it in real time.
The result of a teleshared action is a work that has been created in between interconnected users, where everyone is client and server (node).
INTACT directed by Sara Malinarich and technical direction by Manuel Terán. Conceptual development in collaboration with Jorge Ruiz Abánades and the peformative work in collaboration with María D. Alba.
This production thanks the collaboration of the Huesped telepresence group of Medialab-Prado: Alberto Rivero, Caroline Groueix, Abraham Manzanares, Whoun, Javier Perez Aranda, Daniel Pinheiro, Marta Llorente Pascual.
In Spain: Arteleku (Donostia) 19:00h. With the participation of ARTEK[Lab]; Art&Science (Jaime de los Ríos and the collaboration of Daniel Tirado)
In Canada: Matralab (Montreal) 12:00h (local time). With the participation of Michal Seta,
