This installation transforms the architectural elements in the square through the projection of light and movement.

Entramado. Plaza de Luz is an evolution of the Augmented Sculpture project, which began during the Interactivos?'07 Magia y Tecnología workshop – The proposal transforms the architectural elements in the square through the projection of light and movement.

Using a system composed of various projectors, the perimeters and surfaces of the volumes in the plaza are illuminated to create an overlap of two spatial levels, one physical and the other virtual. The superimposition of this “augmented space” alters the observer’s perception of the surrounding physical space.

Through the use of light in movement, these elements which are set in an urban environment that we ordinarily consider to be fixed and unmoving become energised. The idea is to understand the city and its space, in this case public space, as something in movement and constant transformation.
