Medialab Prado

In this work session of the Commons Lab seminar, Jesús Carrillo's paper Reflections and Proposals on New Centers for Contemporary Creation will be discussed (download text in Spanish -pdf-). The text tries to answer the question of how cultural institutions should fit contemporary society's needs and demands, in order to develop and support the idea of the "commons".

According to the author, this essay is an attempt to make up for his critical analysis of the artistic institutions and new centers for contemporary art, presented within the framework of the Conference on Intellectual Property and New Technologies, organized on December 2007 by the Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico (AECI) in collaboration with Medialab-Prado (download text in Spanish -pdf-)
