Talk-debate on licences and software repositories
Place: Medialab Prado · Plaza de las Letras, C/ Alameda, 15 Madrid
Miquel Vidal (Libresoft) and Miguel Ángel Lastra Cobo (addSensor) will make a brief presentation of the different types of free licenses, their main features and the ways to apply them. They will also talk about different kinds of code repositories, the most common, as well as the conditions, advantages and disadvantages of each of them.

This session is part of the activities of the Playlab: Experimentation with videogames workgroup and arises as an answer to a series of debates emerged during work groups that took place in Medialab-Prado (Fridays Openlab, Playlab) about which kind of licenses should be used for the publication of software, audiovisual documentation and production, and where to host the code of the proyects that result.
There will be a time to present practical cases, questions and debate.
