OF Knitting Circle Madrid

During the next months, Chris Sugrue leads a meeting point for anyone interested in programming, exchanging code, demo-ing work or getting started with openFrameworks. Unless otherwised agreed in the forum, meetings will take place on Frydays at 6 p.m., within the frame of tha Fridays OpenLab work group.

OF Knitting Circle Madrid, is a meeting point for anyone interested in programming, exchanging code,demo-ing work,  getting started with openFrameworks or just plain nerding-out. Inspired by Zach Lieberman's monthly gatherings in New York, it will be an informal and open structure where artists, programmers and hackers of all levels can learn, experiment and create.

This is a great place for beginners to jump into programming with c++, as well as for advanced developers to exchange strategies and experiment in new areas. Although each meeting can adapt to the interests of our group some topics may include computer vision, physics simulation, and how to get started with openFrameworks.

The weekly meetings will be lead by Chris Sugrue, an artist / programmer currently based in Madrid.

openFrameworks is an open-source cross-platform C++ library for creative coding. The library is designed to assist the creative process by providing a simple and intuitive framework for experimentation. It allows beginners and experts alike a starting point for developing realtime software interfaces that move far beyond traditional screen based interaction and into real spaces. The project was initiated by Zachary Lieberman and Theodore Watson and was inspired by the question: Can artists make tools at the same time as they make their own artwork?

No se nada de programación... pero me interesa mucho el tema. Trabajo con imágenes, soy editor y realizador. Espero poder encontrar un lugar en estos encuentros!
