"I work with new media and video in order to explore artistic ideas about architectural space, motion, and perception. My animated, interactive installations have been televised, exhibited and collected internationally. Typically I work with computer animation that is fit into architecture with video projection and or LED displays. I set out to investigate perceptual effects that transform the viewers understanding of actual space in a synthesis of real space and virtual computer imagery.
My site-specific installations set up complex relationships between the viewer and the viewed. In this way, my work is first and foremost about the observer; this approach allows me to exhibit in a variety of venues and contexts, and engage with a broader public audience. My intention is always to inspire and enlighten, to captivate the imagination and demonstrate other ways of seeing and thinking about space, place, and time."
