Medialab Prado

Open calls and registrations for workshops, courses and other activities.

Medialab-Prado organizes periodically collaborative project development workshops, international seminars, etc as part of the permanent lines of work. There are three ways to get involve in them, always through an open call:

- Calls for projects: You can take part as a project leader by sending your proposal/s. Usually we select 8 to 10 projects to be developed during the workshop.

- Call for papers: Aimed to the presentation of theoretical works that tackle the issues presented for the Seminar. These events are usually linked to a workshop and we encourage authors to take part in them as collaborators.

- Call for collaborators: You can also take part in a workshop as a collaborator by joining on the the work groups around selected projects. This call is open after the publication of the list of selected projects for the workshop, and closes short before the beginning. [+info]

In some cases you have to register before certain activities due to the limited space. Check them on the main page.

· Commons Lab workgroups 2011-2012: Topics related to free culture and commons: 15M.cc, Memory and Commons, Cine sin autor, #bookcamping, Kune - social networks and free collaboration for groups, Culture(s) of the Common, Free Legal Onthology, Madrid guifi.net, Translation project of Two Bits: The Cultural Significance of Free Software, Move Commons and Companies of the Commons.  

· Intimidades metropolitanas. A workshop for collective exploration. A series of workshops about intimacy in the urban context. Sessions: Nombrar lo cotidiano (Octubre 11), Sentirse en casa (Octubre 25), Hi-Fi Home (Noviembre 8), Cuerpos con historia (Noviembre 22), Sangre, Agua y Vino (Noviembre 29) y De adentro afuera (December 15).

· CoLab (ICPL) Khartoum. Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Projects Laboratory. Call for Collaborators. Everyone interested can take part in the development of multidisciplinary projects in connection with any field of science creation and contemporary thinking. Deadline: November 28, 2011.

· Thinking and Doing Medialab-Prado: contributions of users and collaborators. Within the context of the activities of the Thinking and Doing Medialab-Prado work group we have started a process of information gathering so collaborators and users can explain what means the medialab for them and what would they like it to be. Come send us your approach.
