This "hackaton" offers different activities to better understand the quality of the air in Madrid, using real-time data in a meaninful way. Low cost Air Quality Egg (AQE) devices will be used. These open devices are intended to test air quality and were created during the last workshop in June.
Ed Borden from Cosm (former Pachube) and Joe Saavedra from Parsons School of Design (NYC) will be visiting for the workshop and assisting each group using their past experience in other cities. [partial streaming]

Ljudmila, media lab digital of Ljubljana, in collaboration with Swiss Mechatronic Art Society of Zurich and Medialab-Prado organize this Interactivos?'12 Ljubljana. Obsolete Technologies of the Future take place from September 5 to 15, where six selected projects are collaboratively developed. The workshop is dedicated to explorations of Obsolete Technologies of the Future, collaborative prototyping vol. 1, rethinking the qualities of outdated technology and making way for a long-term, sustainable usage of technology in our environment in the decades to come.
