This session is aimed to rise conclusions from the different Thinking and Doing Medialab-Prado meetings that had taken place. Margarita Padilla and Amador Fernández-Savater present the result of the analysis of all the contributions from users and collaborators of Medialab-Prado, as well as from texts of people who have actively participated in the sessions.Meetings are open to the participation of anyone interested.
Within the activities 26.000 pixeles and Jugando con números, Golan Levin gives a lecture about creative programming, paying particular attention to how the use of gestural interfaces, visual abstraction, and information visualization can support new modes of interaction, play, and self-discovery, among other topics.
Chris Sugrue and Daniel Sánchez present the project "Jugando con Números", a series of seminars and production workshops exploring relationships between juggling, mathematics, and programming, from an artistic or creative point of view. [ilve streaming]
Presentation of the Free Legal Ontology, created by lawyer Javier de la Cueva. This ontology aims to "show the vocabulary of our law and necessary abstractions in order link or extend this vocabulary with institutions of other law systems".
Presentation of Move Commons: Moving initiatives, collectives and NGOs towards the Commons, a tool which provides labels to let initiatives identify themselves, allowing 1) others to understand your initiative's approach, 2) connecting with other similar collectives, 3) volunteers finding you easier. For this meeting we will count with the presentation by Raquel (Lucas) Platero and David Berná, after that there will be a debate on the proposed topic with all the participants on the meeting. Apart from that, the work group Gender+Tech will make its presentation. [streaming]
