Andrés Jaque

Andrés Jaque is an architect and head of the Andrés Jaque Arquitectos office and the Office for Political Innovation. His work has won awards at numerous contests, been published in international journals including Domus, A10 and Le Moniteur d’Architecture, as well as publications such as ‘Architecture Tomorrow’ –Terrail. París. 2005- and ‘Emergence 4’- Editions Pyramyde. París 2005-, and has been shown at the Schweizerisches Architektur Museum in Basel, at the Hellerau Festspielhaus in Dresden, La Casa Encendida in Madrid, the 7 Mostra di Architettura at the Bienale di Venezia and the Bienal de Arquitectura Iberoamericana 2004 in Lima. He has been invited to give lectures at the ETH in Zurich, the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, the AIT in Dusseldorf, and the CIVA in Brussels. He has been a professor at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura in Madrid, and guest professor at the Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, at the Escuela de Arquitectura in Alicante, at the Fundación Mies van der Rohe in Barcelona, at the Fundación Marcelino Botín, at CCEBA in Buenos Aires, at the Escuela de Arquitectura in Valencia, and at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha. His work Teddy House garnered the Premio Grande Área award for the best architectonic project in 2005 in Galicia, and he won the Dionisio Hernández Gil award for the Casa Sacerdotal Diocesana in Plasencia.
