Efraín Foglia
Efraín Foglia is a designer and associate professor in the Department of Digital Communication at Universitat de Vic. He is also a consultant professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
He has carried out academic studies in Graphic Communication Design in Mexico City and specialised in New Media Art in Weimar, Germany. He is currently enrolled on the Media Art and Culture doctorate programme at Universitat de Barcelona.
He has won several awards for this work as a designer and has exhibited in the United States, Japan, Mexico, Germany and Spain.
Since 1999 he has combined his work as a designer with multidisciplinary projects related to digital culture in the areas of communication and art.
His interest in research is focussed on the design of media devices aimed at social participation and the relationship existing between globalisation and knowledge-creating networks.
He was born in Mexico City and has been living and working in Barcelona since 2003.
