Technical Industrial Engineer. She embarked on her professional career in the field of Physical Chemistry at the “Rocasolano” Institute of Physical Chemistry run by the Spanish National Research Council. At this centre, she participated in 14 research projects and collaborated in 32 publications in international journals. The knowledge acquired during this training was very useful for her subsequent work in scientific documentation, which commenced in the Scientific Information and Documentation Centre, run by the Spanish National Research Council (CINDOC-CSIC). She is now the coordinator of five technical-scientific portals and of one of the foremost Spanish initiatives in open access to scientific publications
