Artist, theoretician and independent curator. Associate Professor in the Department of Sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts of UPV/EHU, Bilbao, since 2002.
Iñigo Cabo has been the curator for various programmes and exhibitions: Gure Artea (Artium Museum and Künstlerhaus Bethanien KB, Berlin, 2004), Bienal de Ecuador 2004. Visual Appointments (Isabell Heimerdinger, Jeppe Hein, Peio Irazu, Democracia, Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa), Bilbao Arte 2007 Foundation, among others. The author of several conferences and the books and films CLOSING TIME (Ed. UPV/EHU), produced for the XV BIENNALE DE PARIS and Nueva Objetividad (ESPAIS Critics’ Award 2001).
As an artist, he has exhibited his work at the XV Biennale de Paris, Sala Rekalde, Bilbao, Bilbao Arte Foundation, Biennial of Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as other national and international galleries.
He is currently preparing exhibitions for the Laboratoire Artistique Internacional du Tarn, LAB (France), ZINEBI at the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts, among other projects.
