Juan Gutiérrez - who now is 79 years old - is a Doctor in Civil Engineering, a researcher and a peace consultant. He studied philosophy in Hamburg, where he also received his PhD. He participated in the German student movement against Vietnam and against almost everything. He worked for eight years as an assistant worker in a shipyard. He “poorly” militated in a Maoist party. He directed an ecological center in Madrid, he founded and directed a center for research on peace in Gernika (Gernika Gogoratuz, which means “Remembering Gernika”). Currently he is a member and a consultant of the Association for the Victims of the March 11th Terrorist Attack in Madrid and The International Network for Peace. He has been collaborating with the commons lab and Medialab-Prado for a year.
