Lila Pagola

Visual artist, professor (UNVM , Escuela Spilimbergo) and free software activist.  

From 1999 to 2006, she organized the annual Digital Arts and Media Conference (Jornadas de artes y medios digitales) [http://www.liminar.com.ar/Archivo/Archivo.htm]
As a temporary extension of the project, in 2003 she and Laura Benech started the liminar project, a Web site about art and technology for Spanish speakers, focused on the Latin American environment and its perspective. 

Her recent art work takes place at the intersection of public art, tactical media and cultural management.
Her most recent work explores the possibilities of works derived from others, as permitted by copyleft licences (such as Creative Commons).

Since 2005, she has participated in the nómade project, a conceptual interface between artists and free software. Highlights of her participation include her exploration of free software resources and strategies applied to publishing graphics, carried out in three projects, books published by the Fundación Vía Libre.
