Raquel Herrera

Researcher in new media and literary translator.
The author of the essay Tempus Fugit El relato interactivo (Tempus Fugit, the Interactive Tale) (Fundació Espais d'Art Contemporani, Girona, 2004), in which she analyses the confluence between narrative and technology, as well as articles on digital art for publications like Papers d'Art and Newmediafix. She has also presented her work internationally, at the Interactiva Biennale of New Media ’05 (Mérida, Mexico) and at the Telefónica Foundation in Buenos Aires.

In 2005, she coordinated the V Metanarratives? Conference on Art and Multimedia with Antoni Mercader for the Caixaforum Mediatheque. In 2006, she selected the digital narratives of the magazine A Mínima for the NOW Conferences organised by the CCCB in Barcelona. In 2007, she was a moderator at the round table Present and future of net art, along with Lauren Cornell (Rhizome), Laura Baigorri (Interzona) and Pau Alsina (Artnodes) at the 2ª Trend Sessions organised by Espacio Movistar.

She is currently preparing her doctorate in Social Communication on digital narrative and also writes the blog Tempus fugit, an on-line art criticism proposal.
