A graduate of the Universidad del Valle de Mexico in 1991, he won an Honorable Mention in the contest at the Revista del Tribunal Fiscal de la Federación in 1994 when he submitted his thesis to the thesis committee: Presunciones para determinar Créditos Fiscales.
