Víctor Viña

Originally trained as a product designer, he holds an MA in Interaction Design from the Royal College of Art, London. Since 2000 he has developed academic and research projects in different institutions, including Mediamatic Amsterdam, Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Elisava School of Design, Barcelona and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, where he collaborates with Fab Lab Bcn, a digital fabrication workshop part of MIT Center for Bits and Atoms' Fab Lab outreach program. He is editor of TdD design journal published in Barcelona. His work has been exhibited and presented in Spain, Italy, Portugal, England, Scotland, The Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Croatia, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, Senegal and the United States.

He has developed projects for critical intervention and social participation with children in Barcelona, Berlin, Manizales, Medellin and Bangalore. His projects include interactive visualizations, networked objects, research about digital networks in public space, technological frameworks for theater plays, light installations for public spaces and architecture exhibitions. He currently works as visiting faculty at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore.
