This edition's proposals tackle a key theme: visibilizing infrastructures, this is, big systems that support global processes: from the infrastructures that produce and transfer energy and water to the ones that make possible global communication and mobility.

The first meeting of the Social Studies of Science and Technology Network in Spain (eSCTS) aims to gather during three days researchers that work in Spain in this research fiel aiming to create a discussion and exchange space for shared knowledge.
SOL1 is a week of independent activities in different venues of the city of Madrid around free culture and licenses, featuring exhibitions, projections, lectures, debates, and concerts. The activities program features 30 activities that aim to visibilize works under free licenses, this is, those who allow users to "reuse" its contents, apply the knowlede to modify and improve them, and distribute copies freely.
This round table offers an overview of open innovation and open data initiatives within the context of the Visualizar'11: Understanding Infrastructures event. The aim is to show their practical possibilities starting from collaborative/shared projects between institutions with similar goals. Open Data contribution and its relation with citizen projects will be analyzed through some successful examples. This event is organized in collaboration with EOI School of Business. [live streaming]
